HOW TO FILE FOR DIVORCE IN OKLAHOMA

STEP 1 - 2 ways to download the required Oklahoma divorce papers:

STEP 2 - The spouse that has decided to file for divorce must fill out the following forms:

  • Domestic Relations Cover Sheet
  • Petition
  • Summons
  • Non-Military Affidavit

 

File the above forms to the county court clerk's office where you reside. Make sure to get a copy of the stamped filed forms.

The filing fees are different for every county.

STEP 3 - The next step is delivering a copy of the forms filed at the court's office to your spouse as well as the Entry of Appearance and Waiver.

Your spouse must have this form completely filled in, notarized and returned to you promptly for you to return it to the clerk's office.

STEP 4 - Schedule a time to meet and negotiate the terms and conditions of the Separation Agreement.

Once this form has been completed by the both of you, file it with the county court clerk's office and you will be able to schedule a court hearing date.
